Quality Assurance Engineer

Remote; Philippines

Safety Management Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer interested in building and executing testing protocols for SaaS applications for a U.S. headquartered Environmental Health & Safety company. Your principal responsibilities are to (1) develop and execute test plans against business requirements and specifications, (2) report and validate issues and defects in a clear and organized manner using our feedback systems, (3) document and report on recurring issues so we can address and course correct as a team, and (4) interface with internal stakeholders and clients to help them understand and best utilize our array of products and services.

Besides raw intellect and the ability to not take yourself too seriously, the value that you can contribute to the team is much more important to us than years of experience or titles. It is important to be detail-oriented in your work, as we work closely with a multitude of the industry’s top Blue-Chip companies, all of which have very stringent requirements around the look and feel of their web and mobile user interfaces.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years working with an agile development team testing Web and/or Mobile applications
• Deep understanding of the different types of software testing techniques and processes, including best practices
• Familiar with different project management and bug tracking tools; experience with ClickUp a plus.
• Able to efficiently work in a fast-paced environment, both as an individual and also within a team setup
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with test automation is a plus; specific experience with Selenium a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and other members of the team to help define and analyze requirements
• Work closely with the project owner and development team to deliver quality features on time
• Design, document and maintain acceptance criteria from the given requirements
• Execute test cases on both Web and Mobile applications
• Perform new feature and regression testing
• Report and track defects in a clear and efficient manner
