Mobile Developer

Remote; Philippines

Safety Management Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced React Native Developer interested in building SaaS applications for a U.S. headquartered Environmental Health & Safety company. Your principal responsibilities will entail (1) building mobile solutions on both iOS and Android as client goals rapidly evolve based on feedback from our users, (2) focus on the front-end of the product as well as understand the API services and infrastructure with which the app needs to integrate, (3) coordinate with teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure, and (4) process knowledge to help guide decision making as we are creating new applications.

Besides raw intellect and the ability to not take yourself too seriously, the value that you can contribute to the team is much more important to us than years of experience or titles. It is important to be detail-oriented in your work, as we work closely with a multitude of the industry’s top Blue-Chip companies, all of which have very stringent requirements around the look and feel of their web and mobile user interfaces.

Qualifications

• Production experience with some of our technologies, frameworks, and languages
• Mobile: React Native with Native-Base, Redux, Realm
• Testing: Jest
• Database: SQLite
• Version Control: Git with GitHub
• CI/CD: CircleCI
• Agile Communication: ClickUP, Slack, and Github

A plus if you have:

• Product Design / UX experience
• Active Open-Source contributions
• SQL/No-SQL databases
• Philippine resident desired

Responsibilities:
‍

• App creation: build best-in-class Android/iOS apps and deploy them to the Google Play/App Store
• Full-cycle know-how: architect new applications through to long-term maintenance
• Work in an Agile development environment
• Take ownership of our mobile development process and partner with Product members to create a cohesive mobile experience
• Guide and influence Product decisions
• Communicate with Product; Marketing; and Customer Success team members to understand our client needs, the problems we are solving; and collaborate on solutions
• Design/create solutions for unique, and often ambiguous, client-centric problems
