Trailer Safety Week, held June 5–11, highlights the importance of safe towing practices and proper trailer maintenance. Learn how manufacturers, dealers, and end-users can work together to improve road safety and prevent accidents year-round.

Trailer safety is important year-round, but we're shining a spotlight on it June 5-11 for Trailer Safety Week. Produced by the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers, this week emphasizes the importance of safe roadways by raising trailer safety awareness through education of end-users, dealers, and manufacturers on safe trailering practices.

Goals of Trailer Safety Week

  • Increase awareness of the importance of being committed to trailer safety
  • Educate end-users about proper trailer maintenance and usage
  • Create a stronger partnership and alliance between stakeholders of the industry including trailer dealers, manufacturers, and end-users

Purpose of Trailer Safety Week

Unfortunately, those who use trailers are often under-educated on proper practices, techniques, and maintenance. This can lead to unsafe towing procedures that can put everyone on the road in danger. Trailer Safety Week encourages dealers and manufacturers to connect with consumers and teach them about safe towing practices.

Get Involved

Support and awareness for this campaign are necessary to ensure road safety for everyone. This collective effort allows a variety of individuals to get involved. Here are some examples of ways you can support Trailer Safety Week:
