Our goal is NOT to build highly customized EHS systems for large enterprises, but to develop a clean, easy to use software tool which allows businesses of ANY size to establish an effective EHS risk management system that meets their needs, at a fraction of the cost of other EHS software systems.
Christien Ducker, Founder & CEO (August 2015)
Beginning in August 2015 SMS collaborated with key prospective clients, large and small, to identify what they wanted to get OUT of an EHS system. The result—SMS360.
The core SMS team has vast experience, not only in Enterprise systems and software, but also from the other side of the fence—corporate management of EHS and real-life experience in the field.
We didn’t build SMS360 based on historical knowledge of other systems, we built it by sitting down with management teams, working side by side with the back-office staff, walking around port terminals, getting in trucks to pick up waste at 2am in a major city, wearing hardhats and Hi-Viz vests and giving up the fancy shoes for work boots. Understanding the pressures facing the people who would use SMS360—real time, their time.
We thank those clients who educated us in their world and continue to give us valuable feedback relating to their challenges and enabling SMS360 to continue to grow.
Two and half years later, SMS360 is used in Commercial Vehicle fleets, Waste & Recycling businesses, Terminals & Logistics, and Manufacturing. We continue to grow with clients in all verticals with the need to simplify EHS. We designed and built a full Enterprise-level EHS system using the latest technologies—and we have built it for YOU— contractors, owner operators, SME’s, and even Enterprise clients. WE ARE SMS360, and incredibly proud of it.
